Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery

Fepshop.com

Wow, we really made it. Fepshop.com is being copied, by let’s call them fakeshop.com 😉

Fakeshop.com
Fakeshop.com
Fepshop.com

They copied our ebay add word for word. We had to file a complaint because they even used our company/brand name. eBay sorted that out for us. They edited some text and now use the brand name Morpheus….. Hmmmm….

They seem to have some trouble switching between the metric and imperial system after their copy – paste action. They sell 100 micron FEP film or is isn’t it……

Thickness: 100 micron (0.005″ / 0.127mm

Fakeshop.com FEP has the exact same specifications as ours. Unlikely that this is correct because our FEP is not manufacturer in the US as they claim theirs is. Funny, they even have the same product codes, coincidence? The list with questionable points goes on for these fakeshop.com’s, Ctrl C – Ctrl V, adds. One thing seems clear, fakeshop.com doesn’t care what they sell! So you can be guaranteed you won’t know what you get!

Anyway, who cares we think it’s fepbulous, we love fakeshop.com, we are being copied, we are famous (almost) 😉

3 Flavours of FEP

Nice and flat

We now have three flavours of FEP Films, FEP 100, FEP 127 and FEP 150…. Why? Here is a little ‘what and why’ on FEP!

FEP 100

Our regular 100 micron film. Tried, tested, cheap and works great. Recently we got some feedback from Wanhao D7 owners telling us the sheets would be easier to mount if they where a little wider. So now make 2 sheet sizes in 100 micron.

  1. FEP 100 – Wanhao D7. The original ‘smaller’ D7 FEP Sheet.
  2. FEP 100 – 5.5″ Universal. The universal ‘larger’ FEP sheet for Wanhao D7, KLD LCD1260, YHD-101 and many other comparable 3D Printers

FEP 127 HD

A 127 micron thick optical clear film. Much more clear and transparent then the FEP 100 and FEP 150. Very even thickness so less chance off distortion. Because it is a little thicker, less chance on rippling and it should last longer. If you want to be sure your highly detailed print or jewelery prints comes out perfect.

  1. FEP 127 – 5.5″ Universal. FEP sheet for Wanhao D7, KLD LCD1260, YHD-101 and many other comparable 3D Printers

FEP 150

A 150 micron thick film. We think this might be the best thickness for a 5.5″ LCD UV 3D Printer resin vat’s. Time will tell if we are right about this. We think this has the right amount of flexibility combined with a lot off strength. Much stronger the FEP 100 and FEP 127, so less chance of damage or rippling, perfect for heavy use. At the moment only available as a sample but we expect stock within a few weeks.

  1. FEP 150 – 5.5″ Universal. FEP sheet for Wanhao D7, KLD LCD1260, YHD-101 and many other comparable 3D Printers.

Print cleaning filter

Rinse your small prints

Cleaning small prints in alcohol can be tricky. You drop your print in the IPA and there it is on the bottom. The same bottom where all the nasty resin residu resides. When you want to take it out, you have to find it in the murky alcohol resin solution with youre gloves on…. So we started using these Print cleaning filters and they work great.

  • Filter is made of stainless steel material
  • Easy and convenient to use and clean
  • Uncured resin will drop through the mesh
  • Top Diameter: 88 mm
  • Inside diameter: 55 mm
  • Total height: 75 mm
  • Height filter area: 60 mm

How to use

  • Get a cup with an inside diameter between 56 and 86 mm and a minimum height of 80mm.
TIP: The Wanhao blue cup works fine, you can use the lid as a drip tray.
  • Fill the cup with IPA.
TIP: Make sure you don’t overfill, leave margin for your prints and filter volume.
  • Put your print in the cleaning filter and carefully lower it in the cup with IPA.
  • Carefully move the filter with print around to make sure all uncured resin washes away
TIP: Use a little brush to remove all resin from creases and cracks.
  • When all resin is gone put the filter with print in a cup with clean water.
TIP: Depending on material we clean we also use water with some dishwasher soap. So first alcohol, second soap water, third clean water. If needed repeat cycle.
  • Have a dip tray ready or kitchen towel ready. Drop the print from the filter on the towel. Place filter on drip tray.

Cheaper shipping

Yes we made FEP even cheaper !

We fine tuned our shipping calculator and now it’s more accurate and based on the real weight of the FEP. This means we can ship 10 sheets of FEP for 3,99 EUR worldwide!

We also expanded the size of our envelopes. This means you can get bigger sheets with cheaper shipping. The limit was 30 x 21 cm and now the limit is 35 x 25 cm that’s almost 40% more FEP in an envelop!
